There is more than one way to read the attack which took the victim yesterday as the Prime Minister. The first is that it is a fact the son of the campaign of "hatred" against Silvio Berlusconi, prime minister exchanging accusations of a political nature to a personal insult, even he was the alpha and omega of everything exists in Italy and that Italy is.
The other is to say, simply and with a dash of common sense, that the isolated act of a person who is clearly not driven by rage and hatred but from a political psychological distress (perhaps Berlusconi was unpleasant, but also to millions of Italians who would not dream of punching you in the face) and does not describe a climate.

Making a gesture crazy and reckless a step in the process of martyred, sanctification and beatification the leader is a temptation that those of the PDL (and in the League) were unable to resist. Poor level of censure by the gesture as a first offense to a person, then even at an institution. Il gesto è grave e inqualificabile, violento e quindi spregevole. Di qui a chiedere l’armistizio politico verso un governo che non governa ma “sgoverna”, però, ce ne passa. A Silvio Berlusconi vanno, doverose, tutte le rappresentazioni di solidarietà umana e istituzionale, perché il gesto violento è una offesa alla sua dignità di uomo, prima che al suo ruolo. Ma l’aggressione non basta ad assolverlo dal fallimento della politica di questo governo ostaggio della demagogia della Lega. L’umana comprensione e vicinanza sono una cosa, la giustificazione per l’assenza dell’esecutivo dall’occuparsi del paese è un’altra. Le prime sono dovute, la seconda è impossibile.
